Backend Developer – APIs, Integrations

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and improve RESTful APIs utilized for system integrations.

• Execute corrective and evolutionary maintenance on current services.

• Develop new routes and endpoints in line with business needs.

• Safeguard the integrity, security, and performance of the APIs.

• Assist in analyzing and resolving integration failures between systems.

• Document endpoints, payloads, and business logic.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams including development, infrastructure, and business units.

• Ensure the stability and operational continuity of integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in developing RESTful APIs.

• Proficient in at least one backend programming language (Node.js, Python, PHP, Java, or .NET).

• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar).

• Understanding of API consumption and integration (REST/SOAP).

• Experience with authentication and security mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, or similar).

• Knowledge of version control systems, specifically Git.

• Experience with healthcare integrations (HL7, FHIR is advantageous).

• Awareness of messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar).

• Proven experience in building scalable APIs and implementing best practices (caching, rate limiting, logging).

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Understanding of API documentation standards (Swagger/OpenAPI).

• Experience with Sensedia (API Gateway / API management).
