Azure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• You will assume complete responsibility for intricate Azure cloud architectures for our clients, which includes high-level design, establishing cloud governance frameworks (cost, security, compliance), and integrating with existing on-premises and multi-cloud environments.

• You will lead technical streams in cloud transformation initiatives, ensure compliance with best practices (FinOps, SecOps, DevOps), and serve as a technical mentor for junior consultants.

• You will provide guidance to decision-makers at the C-level of our clients regarding Azure cloud roadmaps, operational models, and cloud investment strategies.

• You will spearhead the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and automated deployment pipelines in enterprise settings.

• You will convert highly intricate business requirements into scalable technical solution designs and be responsible for overseeing the technical implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of proven professional experience in a consulting, lead engineer, or architect role, preferably within a services or enterprise environment.

• Excellent hands-on experience with a wide array of Azure services (e.g., Azure Networking, Security Center, Entra ID, Azure DevOps, AKS, Azure Functions).

• Strong understanding of cloud governance, IT security, Identity & Access Management (IAM/Zero Trust), and FinOps principles.

• An active Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification or a comparable qualification is mandatory.

• Business-fluent communication and presentation skills in both German and English, with a demonstrated ability to simplify technical concepts for C-level audiences and influence strategic decisions.

• Strong analytical skills to quickly understand complex challenges, paired with a hands-on approach to implementation.
