Azure Data Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

• Design and uphold cloud data and analytics security measures.

• Establish access policies to safeguard databases, schemas, tables, and other database components.

• Comprehend and adhere to all Information Security guidelines and control standards.

• Troubleshoot data security challenges, conduct root cause analyses, and enhance security incident responses through a lessons-learned approach.

• Solid understanding of Cloud Security best practices within Azure.

• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft technologies, including Azure B2B and Application Security in Azure.

• Work collaboratively across cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration and execution of data security measures within analytics platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Management, or equivalent experience.

• Certifications in Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) are strongly preferred.

• Over 7 years of experience in Cloud Security/Data Security Engineering.

• 2-3 years of experience in Azure data warehousing and analytics stacks, focusing on data security configuration setup.

• More than 3 years of experience in SQL DB/Warehouse security configurations and implementing access policies to protect CCI and PII sensitive data using Row-Level Security (RLS), Column-Level Security (CLS), data masking, and data encryption features.

• At least 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure and a strong understanding of ADLS, Blob Storage, SQL Warehouse, etc.

• Familiarity with common APIs such as REST and SOAP is preferred.

• Experience with MS Fabric and MS Purview is advantageous.

• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English (B2+, ideally C1/C2).
