AWS Platform Engineer – Senior, Support and Governance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Provide operational and technical assistance

• Analyze and resolve incidents within AWS environments (N2/N3 level)

• Investigate root causes of failures in data services and infrastructure

• Conduct troubleshooting related to performance, availability, and costs

• Offer technical support to initial support tiers

• Ensure monitoring and observability

• Monitor and analyze metrics from various AWS services, including: Redshift, EC2, EMR, Athena, SQS, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3

• Identify performance bottlenecks and operational risks

• Develop and enhance alerting and monitoring systems

• Recognize opportunities to improve performance, cost-efficiency, and stability

• Suggest preventive measures to avert incidents

• Automate operational and monitoring processes

• Assist in defining best practices for cloud architecture

• Contribute to the advancement of data platform governance

• Aid in vulnerability analysis and provide remediation guidance

• Support the creation of monthly technical reports

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with AWS in production settings

• Practical experience with: EC2 (monitoring and troubleshooting), CloudWatch (metrics, logs, and alarms), S3

• Proven ability to analyze and resolve infrastructure incidents

• Prior experience in N2/N3 technical support or AMS

• Background in performance analysis (CPU, memory, disk, I/O)

• Understanding of cloud architecture, preferably data-focused

• Capability to work independently in critical situations
