This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• You will engage in the design, automation, and management of AWS cloud environments while adhering to the principles of the Well-Architected Framework.
• Your responsibilities will include configuring Landing Zones, enhancing security, integrating CI/CD pipelines, and provisioning through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across essential AWS services.
• You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, contribute to targets for cost efficiency, and actively shape the evolution of infrastructure rather than merely maintaining existing systems.
• 4–8 years of overall experience in IT.
• 2–4 years of practical experience with AWS in a cloud engineering role.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, for architecture discussions and collaboration across teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPCs, Subnets, and Security Groups.
• Experience in building and configuring AWS Landing Zones following best practices of the Well-Architected Framework.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in a cloud environment.
• Proficient in Terraform for provisioning infrastructure and managing configurations.
• Strong scripting capabilities in Python and Bash for automation tasks.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical knowledge in implementing IAM roles, policies, and permission boundaries.
• Familiarity with encryption methods and best practices for cloud security.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification is strongly preferred.
• Additional AWS specialty certifications such as Security Specialty or Advanced Networking Specialty are a plus.
• Experience utilizing cost optimization frameworks and FinOps methodologies.
• Exposure to multi-account AWS environments and patterns for organizational governance.
