Automotive Field Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Develop or review detailed damage estimates for both first- and third-party material damage claims.

• Guide claims towards appropriate resolutions in the auto or specialty lines sector.

• Provide training, mentorship, quality control, and technical support for material damage claims.

• Familiarize yourself with policy details across all types of company-written policies.

• Negotiate settlements, execute settlement payments, and document all activities in complex files spanning multiple lines.

• Assess settlement options for compliance with regulations and fair claims practices.

• Foster relationships with both internal and external clients.

• Conduct vehicle inspections, interact with customers, and collaborate with repair facilities and body shops.

• Assist in CAT response initiatives and manage increased claim volumes through travel.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a body shop, collision repair, or automotive repair environment, with solid vehicle knowledge.

• Capability to evaluate vehicle damage and effectively communicate repair recommendations to customers and repair facilities.

• Exceptional communication, customer service, and relationship-building abilities.

• Proficiency in managing an independent schedule, prioritizing tasks, and working efficiently in a field-based setting.

• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate as part of a team.

• Candidates must live in or near the designated Wilmington, NC area.

• Openness to travel as required for CAT response initiatives and heightened claim volumes.

• Candidates should have authorization to work in the United States.

• Previous claims experience and CCC ONE software proficiency are preferred but not mandatory.

• A dedicated, distraction-free workspace is required when working from home.

• Reliable internet connection with a minimum of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload speeds is essential.
