Automation Test Engineer, Java, Selenium, SQL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain automated testing scripts for web applications.

• Determine which test cases are appropriate for automation and prioritize them based on risk and impact.

• Perform automated regression tests and evaluate the results.

• Record, monitor, and confirm defects until they are resolved.

• Work closely with developers during sprint cycles to guarantee testability.

• Engage in test planning, review test cases, and participate in retrospectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with practical automation testing experience.

• Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent.

• Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language (Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#).

• Strong comprehension of QA methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

• Experience testing APIs utilizing tools like Postman or REST clients.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

• Experience in integrating tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.

• ISTQB or a comparable QA certification.
