This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
⢠Inspect, evaluate, negotiate, and assess both first- and third-party auto physical damage claims.
⢠Analyze collision, comprehensive, property damage, rental, towing, fire, theft, flood, lightning, diminished value, and injury-related claims.
⢠Offer technical guidance and support to auto claim professionals regarding claim damages.
⢠Ensure consistent service throughout the claim lifecycle, which includes customer interactions, process explanations, expectation management, communication, and follow-up.
⢠Oversee assignments and travel promptly to vehicle or equipment locations.
⢠Scope claims and establish physical claim values utilizing recognized resources, estimating, and evaluation software.
⢠Prepare and document vehicle/equipment damage assessments and Actual Cash and Replacement values.
⢠Collaborate with designated Claim Professionals from the initial investigation to final recovery.
⢠Negotiate claim values with customers and repair facilities.
⢠Determine applicable total-loss settlement amounts, coverages, and deductibles.
⢠Negotiate and communicate settlements within authorized limits and initiate customer payments.
⢠Provide inspection assistance to other business lines and departments, including catastrophe response.
⢠Review coverage and apply policy conditions, provisions, exclusions, and endorsements.
⢠Manage repair processes, claims and expense reserves, action plans, and claim diaries.
⢠Communicate damage assessments and secure payment authorizations.
⢠Participate in catastrophe deployments lasting at least 16 days, including travel days.
⢠Carry out other assigned duties.
⢠High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of auto appraisal experience.
⢠Valid Driver's License.
⢠State appraiser and claim handling licenses as applicable; licenses are generally required within three months of starting.
⢠An Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Technical School Degree is preferred for ideal candidates.
⢠Two years of auto appraisal experience is preferred.
⢠Prior experience with an insurance carrier is advantageous.
⢠Comprehensive knowledge of auto repair, repair techniques, terminology, and construction.
⢠In-depth understanding of claims appraisal systems and claim operations.
⢠Proficiency in Windows, including Excel and Word.
⢠Ability to engage in catastrophe response, extended deployments, and unscheduled travel on short notice.
⢠Strong mathematical and negotiation skills.
⢠Ability to stay updated on jurisdictional laws and regulations and effectively communicate compliance requirements.
