Audit Senior Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Lead and supervise audit professionals throughout the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements.

• Ensure adherence to engagement timelines, budgets, and firm standards.

• Build and maintain client relationships as a trusted advisor and primary audit contact.

• Offer strategic recommendations regarding financial processes, controls, and reporting.

• Collaborate with partners and directors to develop audit strategies and plans.

• Oversee resource allocation, role assignments, and the creation of audit programs.

• Conduct intricate audit procedures and review complex accounting and auditing issues.

• Utilize accounting, auditing, and regulatory knowledge to analyze financial statements and disclosures.

• Promote continuous learning and professional development within the audit team.

• Mentor and guide managers, seniors, and staff members.

• Ensure audit documentation, reports, and conclusions adhere to quality and compliance standards.

• Implement best practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of audits.

• Identify opportunities to grow the firm's client base and expand service offerings.

• Contribute to proposals, presentations, networking, and other business development efforts.

• Evaluate and manage engagement risks, conflicts, and liabilities.

• Enact risk mitigation strategies.

• Stay updated on accounting standards, industry trends, and regulatory changes.

• Share insights and participate in thought leadership initiatives.

• Supervise junior team members.

• Travel as necessary based on client requirements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of relevant experience.

• More than 5 years of audit experience within a CPA firm.

• Progressive leadership experience.

• CPA license is mandatory.

• Equivalent certifications are necessary for IT audit roles.

• Responsible for fulfilling the minimum CPE credit requirements.

• Additional industry or specialization certifications may be essential for certain positions.

• Experience in a professional services environment, such as a CPA firm or financial consulting firm, is preferred.

• Capability to supervise junior team members.

• Ability to engage in prolonged desk and computer work.

• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.

• Willingness to travel frequently and unpredictably based on client needs.
