This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Lead a high-achieving team of offensive security researchers, fostering professional growth and team wellness through regular video check-ins.
• Ensure open and transparent communication through weekly and event-driven status updates that address achievements, challenges, team requirements, and research advancements.
• Cultivate a collaborative and supportive team atmosphere by encouraging documentation, knowledge sharing, and technical presentations.
• Organize and facilitate engaging weekly team meetings for resource sharing, brainstorming research ideas, and collaborative problem solving.
• Mentor junior researchers and new team members, aiding in effective onboarding, continuous learning, and ongoing career development.
• Oversee technical recruitment processes, including interviewing and assessing candidates.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and relay results to leadership.
• Plan and oversee the team’s budget, which includes travel, training, and conference opportunities.
• Participate in leadership meetings and coordinate cross-team initiatives, ensuring alignment of team goals with organizational priorities.
• Ability to acquire and maintain security clearance.
• Supervise and guide the identification, analysis, and exploitation of vulnerabilities in contemporary operating systems, kernel components, and intricate software ecosystems.
• Direct research efforts in reverse engineering, proof-of-concept exploit development, and overcoming advanced security mitigations.
• Establish technical priorities for the team, balancing ongoing research goals with the exploration of new attack vectors and technologies.
• Ensure that research remains current with the latest attack techniques, mitigations, and emerging technologies.
• Promote the dissemination and publication of impactful research and adaptive strategies in response to industry-wide software/security updates.
• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in Vulnerability Research, reverse engineering, and bug-hunting.
• Proven track record in leading or mentoring technical teams in offensive security or vulnerability research.
• Extensive experience in iOS vulnerability research and exploitation on modern devices and chipsets.
• Strong knowledge of recent iOS mitigations such as Pointer Authentication Codes (PAC), Secure Page Table Monitor (SPTM), and Memory Integrity Extension (MIE).
• Advanced skills in vulnerability discovery, reverse engineering, and exploit development within the iOS operating system or platform.
• Proficient programming skills, including expertise in C, C++, and low-level assembly.
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools for reverse engineering and debugging.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and team-building abilities.
