Associate General Counsel – Privacy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Serve as a trusted advisor for business partners navigating the complexities of global, state, and federal privacy and cybersecurity regulations.

• Enhance and advance our existing privacy programs that support enterprise-wide compliance initiatives.

• Lead privacy and data security due diligence efforts with confidence and accuracy.

• Influence technology product development and commercial operations, including engaging in commercial contracting as necessary.

• Manage sensitive and confidential issues with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.

• Embrace new challenges as they arise — as this role offers a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same.

⛳️ Requirements

• A J.D. from an accredited law school is mandatory, along with active bar membership in good standing (or regional equivalent).

• Candidates should possess 7+ years of experience in an in-house legal department, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to privacy law.

• Management experience is necessary.

• Authorization to work in the relevant jurisdiction is required.

• CIPP certifications are desirable.
