This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Facilitate course delivery, engaging learning activities, and student evaluations using the University’s existing course materials.
• Impart additional insights and experiences to aid students in comprehending and linking course concepts with practical applications.
• Efficiently and effectively provide high-quality instruction to university students, adhering to the standards outlined in the University of Phoenix Faculty Handbook and all relevant policies and procedures.
• Ensure timely availability of all class materials to students to promote prompt participation and relevant classroom instruction and discussions.
• Offer each student the chance to grow, develop, and achieve academic success by maintaining an interactive classroom presence, responding promptly to student inquiries, and fostering a supportive learning environment that empowers students to enhance their cognitive skills and confidence.
• Proactively address student academic concerns in line with University policies and guidance.
• Undertake various additional responsibilities, such as coaching, tutoring, and identifying suitable supplementary resources, based on specific course or program needs that bolster student learning and success both in and out of the classroom environment; supervise student clinical/practicum/mentorship experiences as required by the course and/or program, as applicable.
• Participate in various faculty meetings and University events as necessary, including but not limited to General Faculty Meetings, Content Area Meetings, and student graduations.
• Stay updated on all relevant University course updates, instructional standards, and other pertinent information that enhances associate faculty effectiveness and fosters student engagement and achievement.
• Maintain current professional and technical knowledge in content areas through employment, professional certification/licensure, attending/speaking at professional conferences, publishing professionally, engaging in personal networks, participating in professional organizations, and other appropriate means.
• Instruct and carry out other job-related duties in an online setting, as dictated by program requirements.
• Understand all relevant University technology and adapt to changes as necessary to facilitate classes and uphold active faculty status.
• Perform other assigned or apparent duties.
• Doctor of Nursing Science, Doctor of Nursing Practice, PhD in Nursing, Medical Physician/Psychiatrist, and/or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine/Psychiatrist OR
• Doctorate degree in any field along with a Master’s degree in Nursing OR
• Master’s degree in Nursing
• At least 5 years of experience in a clinical nursing practice setting, with a minimum of 2 years as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist using psychotherapy techniques for individuals, families, and groups
• Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Must possess an active, unencumbered, or unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or Multistate
• Arizona Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
• National Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist
• Knowledge of adult education teaching and learning theories
