This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Create, develop, and sustain scalable, dependable, and automated data pipelines utilizing SQL, Python, and Databricks to facilitate enterprise analytics.
• Design and enhance robust data models and infrastructure to guarantee high data quality, integrity, and accessibility throughout the client's ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with the Data Science team to operationalize their initiatives, deploying statistical and machine learning models into production environments while adhering to DataOps best practices.
• Recognize, design, and execute internal process enhancements, including automating manual data workflows and optimizing data delivery for scalability.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to pinpoint business challenges, collect requirements, identify data sources, and deliver data-driven solutions.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or constructing data infrastructure for marketing and business applications.
• Extensive experience in designing and building scalable data pipelines using modern cloud data platforms.
• Strong understanding of contemporary data architecture, which includes ELT, data lakes/lakehouses, data warehouses, and metadata-driven frameworks.
• Experience in applying software engineering best practices to data development, including:
• Version control (Git)
• Code reviews and pull request workflows
• Modular, reusable, and testable code
• CI/CD pipelines
• Automated testing (unit, integration, and data quality tests)
• Infrastructure as Code
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, emphasizing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Familiarity with orchestration frameworks and workflow automation.
• Understanding of data modeling, data governance, lineage, observability, and monitoring.
• Proven experience working in Agile teams, collaborating with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders.
• Capability to design metadata-driven and configuration-driven solutions instead of hard-coded implementations.
