This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.
• Spearhead the design, upkeep, and advancement of conceptual and logical information models that foster a shared understanding of essential business concepts throughout the organization.
• Take ownership and actively contribute to core information architecture artifacts such as the Enterprise Data Model and Data Domain Map, ensuring consistency across various domains and initiatives.
• Lead the identification and implementation of business concepts, taxonomies, and semantic standards.
• Work in close collaboration with business stakeholders, data product teams, solution architects, and engineers to convert business requirements into well-defined information models that inform downstream implementations.
• Ensure that there is alignment between information architecture, data governance policies, and quality standards.
• Evaluate current information flows and define target-state information paths that support interoperability and data lineage.
• Establish guidelines and best practices for information modeling across various initiatives.
• Assist teams in applying enterprise information models within their local delivery contexts.
• Promote principles of reuse-first and business-aligned modeling.
• Educate, guide, and coach stakeholders and architects, facilitating the integration of information architecture thinking across teams.
• Mentor architects and aid in the capability development within the architecture community.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of architecture tools and methodologies, including their integration with data catalogs and metadata management systems.
• Significant experience as an Information Architect, Data Architect, or in a similar senior capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to transform intricate business concepts into clear information models, taxonomies, and definitions.
• Proven history of enterprise-level conceptual and logical data modeling.
• In-depth knowledge of semantic modeling, taxonomies, ontologies, and business glossaries.
• Strong comprehension of how information architecture, data management, and data governance interrelate.
• Experience collaborating closely with data governance and architecture communities.
• Practical experience with ontology or semantic standards (e.g., RDF, OWL, SKOS, SPARQL) or equivalent conceptual modeling methodologies.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and foster alignment across domains.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching abilities.
• Experience in large-scale, transformation-oriented organizations.
