Associate Director, AI and Machine Learning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the strategy, design, and execution of AI and machine learning solutions to facilitate R&D digital transformation and enhance operational efficiency.

• Promote the integration of AI within R&D by pinpointing high-impact use cases and constructing compelling business cases.

• Create and implement AI/ML models, tools, and platforms aimed at boosting the efficiency of digitalization systems.

• Assess emerging AI technologies and evaluate their relevance in regulated pharmaceutical R&D settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degrees in statistics, biostatistics, computer science, data science, machine learning, bioinformatics, engineering, mathematics, or a similar quantitative discipline.

• Proven experience in applying AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, or data science within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, clinical development, or other regulated sectors.

• Strong practical experience with contemporary data science, AI, machine learning models, tools, and platforms.

• Proficient in programming languages typically utilized for data science and AI, such as Python and R.

• Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning frameworks like scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent tools.

• Working knowledge of generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI agents.

• Experience with AI-native programming methodologies, including the use of AI coding assistants.

• Knowledge of cloud-based data and AI platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Databricks.

• Understanding of MLOps, encompassing model development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

• Awareness of regulatory standards, data privacy, model validation, responsible AI practices, and governance considerations in pharmaceutical R&D.
