This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Effectively and appropriately communicate with team members and external parties.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery in support of ongoing litigation cases.
• Examine litigation case files and pleadings to determine the necessary course of action.
• Advocate for the client’s interests across various litigation environments.
• Use proprietary internal software to accurately update and document the status of each account within the assigned inventory.
• Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and files as directed by the Managing Attorney to ensure compliance with firm and client expectations.
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures set by the client and the firm.
• Willingness to travel to different courtrooms within the branch office's jurisdiction as needed.
• Prepare for and represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, which includes formulating case strategies, drafting documents, conducting discovery, and delivering oral arguments.
• Negotiate settlements with consumers and their legal representatives to efficiently resolve disputes while safeguarding client interests.
• Assess case merits, evaluate risk exposure, and offer strategic legal advice.
• Maintain compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and court procedures.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing in Washington.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter.
• Eagerness to learn and grow.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a substantial caseload.
• Capable of communicating effectively with individuals or groups both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient in operating a computer, phone, or similar device.
• Able to maintain a flexible work schedule of at least 40 hours per week.
