This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Lead the implementation and auditing of complex multi-tiered distribution frameworks, ensuring meticulous accuracy in the calculation of Preferred Returns, GP Catch-ups, and Carried Interest.
• Exhibit technical expertise in navigating the structural differences between American (deal-by-deal) and European (whole-of-fund) distribution models.
• Diligently calculate and track clawback provisions to maintain ongoing compliance with LPA requirements throughout the investment lifecycle.
• Conduct thorough analysis and breakdown of complex Limited Partnership Agreements (LPA) to derive and apply accurate accounting treatments for distributions and fee structures.
• Act as the primary technical subject matter expert for converting complex legal language into functional and effective accounting workbooks.
• Hold primary responsibility for calculating Net Asset Value (NAV) across intricate fund structures.
• Ensure all fund accounting processes are in strict compliance with GAAP, with a particular focus on the specifications of ASC 946 (Investment Company Accounting).
• Serve as a highly proficient power user of FIS Investran, overseeing the accounting ledger and the setup of automated waterfalls.
• Utilize Advanced Excel and Power Query to enhance automation in data ingestion and create robust, audit-ready financial models.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in navigating the complexities of the private equity sector.
• Ability to manually calculate complex private equity waterfalls from foundational principles.
• In-depth expertise in ASC 946 (Investment Company Accounting).
• Proficient user of FIS Investran, capable of managing automated waterfall setups and rigorously supervising the general ledger.
• Utilize Advanced Excel and Power Query to create robust financial models and conduct intricate data manipulation.
• Demonstrated experience in the implementation and auditing of clawback provisions and multi-tiered distribution models.
• Ability to dissect complex Limited Partnership Agreement (LPA) language and translate intricate legal terminology into practical accounting workflows.
• CA, CFA, or similar professional qualification preferred.
• Familiarity with Hedge Fund accounting structures is regarded as a significant advantage.
