This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the Dean of Student Affairs to design and execute programs and activities aimed at enhancing Online student engagement and supporting their journey to graduation.
• Assist the Dean in promoting strategies and initiatives that are intended to positively influence student persistence and elevate student satisfaction at the institution.
• Develop avenues for student life within the virtual campus setting, while encouraging connections among students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals.
• Formulate policies, programs, and services that align with the University's mission.
• Support the Dean of Student Affairs in crafting both short-term and long-term visions for the department, and guide departmental staff in executing these plans.
• Collaborate effectively with the Dean of Student Affairs, the Executive Committee, and other departments to accomplish school goals related to enrollment and persistence.
• Address the needs of a diverse Online student population, promote student development, and encourage participation in student life.
• Key responsibilities include delivering effective and high-quality services to students in areas such as new student orientation, referral to counseling services, student conduct, student activities and programs, student organizations, assisting with student communication, and disability services.
• A master's degree in counseling, Student Personnel Administration, or a related field is mandatory.
• A minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible experience in student affairs, preferably within an online post-secondary institution, is essential.
• Familiarity with contemporary practices and theories in student affairs within higher education is required.
• A demonstrated history of fostering student life and engagement in a fully virtual environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of federal regulations pertaining to higher education, including ADA and Title IX, is necessary.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with both faculty and student groups.
• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient computer and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to function effectively as a leader or team member to achieve departmental objectives.
• Capacity to prioritize tasks and perform well under pressure.
• Competence in managing multiple responsibilities and meeting deadlines.
• General business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively both interdepartmentally and intradepartmentally to meet enrollment and retention goals.
