Assignment Readiness Counselor – Short Term, On Demand

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Provide coverage for military needs in short-term, surge, and on-demand scenarios.

• Offer a comprehensive range of Adult or Child and Youth Behavioral counseling services.

• Record daily activity data using a smartphone or web application.

• Work closely with installation and military branch Points of Contact.

• Conduct assessments, provide brief counseling, and refer to appropriate resources.

• Deliver training and support to parents and staff.

• Uphold the confidentiality and anonymity of service members and their families.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an independent license in any state, such as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.

• Hold a Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health-related field or social work.

• Experience in a school setting is required.

• Ability to swiftly engage and communicate with military personnel, spouses, or children.

• Capability to navigate both short and long distances.

• Must adhere to various site-specific requirements for military installations.

• Proficiency in English is essential.

• Advanced understanding of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling techniques.

• Prior military service, being a military family member, or a strong familiarity with military culture is preferred.

• For CYB positions, must meet the Magellan MFLC CYB criteria regarding experience with children and youth.
