This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the formulation and implementation of a cohesive asset strategy that aligns with Business Unit objectives, portfolio goals, and the overarching aims of BioMarin.
β’ Formulate the strategy throughout the asset lifecycle, encompassing development, commercialization, and lifecycle management.
β’ Assess opportunities, risks, and trade-offs to guide essential decisions and enhance long-term value generation.
β’ Ensure consistency among strategic priorities, resource distribution, timelines, and financial plans.
β’ Lead a high-achieving Asset Team that incorporates diverse functions and viewpoints.
β’ Establish consensus around strategic priorities, pivotal decisions, and execution plans.
β’ Cultivate a culture of trust, transparency, accountability, and constructive discussion.
β’ Develop strong collaborations across the organization to guarantee prompt escalation and resolution of critical business issues.
β’ Facilitate timely, high-quality decision-making through governance forums, business reviews, and interactions with executives.
β’ Act as the principal champion and advocate for the asset.
β’ Clearly communicate strategy, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to executive leadership and various stakeholders.
β’ Ensure that decisions align with both immediate objectives and long-term enterprise value.
β’ A minimum of 10 years of experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or a related field.
β’ At least 5 years of experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives or teams within a matrixed environment.
β’ Proven ability to influence decisions, foster alignment, and achieve results across multiple functions.
β’ Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities with a history of balancing short-term execution with long-term value generation.
β’ Preferred experience in product development, commercialization, medical affairs, portfolio strategy, business leadership, or related areas.
β’ Experience leading an Asset Team or a similarly intricate cross-functional organization.
β’ Knowledge of the biopharmaceutical product lifecycle from development to commercialization and lifecycle management.
