Assessment Clinician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform assessments for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Integrated Mental Health tailored to individual needs.

• Interview clients and offer initial treatment recommendations in accordance with agency protocols and suitable screening/testing instruments.

• Carry out assessments through telehealth utilizing DSM 5 and ASAM standards.

• Communicate assessment findings, including treatment suggestions, to clients after completion.

• Ensure documentation for each assessment is completed within designated timeframes and adheres to state or federal regulations.

• Participate in mandatory Set Free meetings via teleconferencing or in-person attendance.

• Fulfill additional reporting and requests from the management team as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field is required.

• Must be able to complete State-approved continuing education units as a Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) within six months of hiring.

• A total of 60 hours is specified as part of the qualification criteria.

• Experience in substance abuse and the diagnosis of substance abuse disorders is essential.

• Must pass a drug screening.

• Must successfully clear a State of Alaska background check.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and organizational abilities are necessary.

• Consistent punctuality and reliability in reporting to work and providing direct services are expected.

• Ability to collaborate well with others, show initiative, exercise discretion, and be trustworthy.

• Capability to establish rapport with both clients and staff.

• Proficiency in working effectively in a remote environment.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, treating all individuals with dignity and respect, and upholding clear therapeutic boundaries.

• Strong computer skills, including proficient use of electronic communication tools.
