AS400 Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the daily operations of the IBM AS400, encompassing both its hardware and software.

• Aiding in the maintenance, installation, and configuration of all components of IBM AS400, which includes networked devices, journaling, and IBM iAccess software.

• Creating and documenting procedures for system utilities, such as backup and restore processes, performance tuning, and interface configuration.

• Evaluating AS400 operating system and application software updates and repairs within both development/test and production environments; applying application software patches; managing performance and file tuning utilities.

• Establishing specific application security groups and levels.

• Comprehending the internal control and change management protocols of IBM iSeries.

• Leading initiatives aimed at upgrading and enhancing new or existing technological solutions.

• Supervising source code/version control management in accordance with technical management standards.

• Overseeing performance tuning and troubleshooting efforts.

• Offering technical assistance to employees.

• Ensuring adherence to all IT regulations and processes.

• Profound knowledge of AS400 hardware and software, including AS400 Security Management, Communications, Operating System Upgrades, and PTF deployment.
