This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage AI and machine learning capabilities that enhance cyber tool integration and automate security operations.

• Take ownership of the six-pillar AI validation framework by classifying, testing, and validating AI technologies prior to deployment.

• Ensure that testing aligns with each pillar of the validation framework.

• Collaborate with the DevSecOps Engineer to deliver the Autonomous Workflow Library.

• Generate the quarterly Security Control Effectiveness Report.

• Maintain the documentation package for AI System / LLM Development and Operations.

• Provide AI Model / LLM Change Disclosures at least 30 days before any model modifications.

• Fulfill AI attestation and disclosure requirements while documenting model behaviors and changes for a Government audience.

• Work alongside the Cloud Security Architect and DevSecOps Engineer to embed AI capabilities within the enterprise security toolset without increasing the attack surface.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in information technology, with proven expertise in applied machine learning or LLM engineering within a security or operations context.

• A Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• A robust and documented methodology for classifying, testing, and validating AI technologies before deployment.

• Familiarity with Federal AI governance obligations, including requirements for attestation and disclosure.

• Capability to draft model behavior and change documentation that withstands Government scrutiny.

• Proficiency in Python and contemporary ML/LLM tools.

• Engineering expertise to transition a model from prototype to a viable production capability.

• One or more of the following certifications: IAT III, IAM III, or IASAE III, typically fulfilled by CISSP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISM, or CASP+.

• Certification must be verified before an offer is made.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 4 / High Risk Public Trust investigation, VA systems access, and PIV credentialing.

• Work cannot commence until an interim determination is received.
