This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Lead a team comprising developers, data scientists, and engineers specializing in AI and computer vision.
• Ensure seamless integration of computer vision solutions with existing legacy systems and IT infrastructure, including cameras, sensors, and edge devices.
• Design and implement deep learning models focused on object detection, classification, segmentation, and tracking.
• Develop and enhance image and video processing pipelines, which encompass preprocessing, data augmentation, and real-time inference.
• Utilize techniques such as OCR, facial recognition, video analytics, and visual sensing.
• Optimize models for inference in edge computing and low-latency settings through methods like quantization, pruning, TensorRT, and ONNX.
• Integrate computer vision models with industrial cameras, optical sensors, and embedded devices.
• Create data pipelines for the training, annotation, and validation of image and video datasets.
• Employ agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to monitor goals and deliverables.
• Prepare technical and management reports for stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to security, image privacy, and AI ethics standards, including Brazil’s LGPD.
• Encourage research into cutting-edge computer vision technologies, such as generative AI for images, multimodal models, and edge AI.
• Collaborate with universities and strategic partners within the innovation ecosystem.
• Work alongside hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams to guarantee comprehensive integration of vision systems.
• Participate in project meetings to align technical objectives and outline requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Demonstrated software development experience, particularly in Computer Vision and AI/ML projects.
• Experience in leading technical teams and managing intricate projects.
• Practical knowledge of OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Detectron2, MMDetection, and Ultralytics (YOLO).
• Understanding of object detection, segmentation, tracking, and visual pattern recognition.
• Experience in annotating and curating image and video datasets using tools such as CVAT, Label Studio, and Roboflow.
• Familiarity with deploying solutions in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and integrating with high-availability systems.
• Knowledge of privacy regulations and ethical standards relevant to AI and image usage, including Brazil’s LGPD.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
• A graduate degree or certifications in AI/Computer Vision is a plus.
• Understanding of edge computing and IoT applications in medical or industrial contexts is a plus.
• Proficiency in HDL (VHDL/Verilog) and tools like Vivado, Quartus, and ModelSim is a plus.
• Experience with real-time video processing and streaming (RTSP, GStreamer, FFmpeg) is a plus.
• Background in project management.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop).
• Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with REST/gRPC APIs, microservices, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
