This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Define the analytical strategy and functional model of the solution, translating business objectives into architectural decisions.
• Design and construct the ingestion and transformation pipeline on AWS: Lambda functions (integrated with Microsoft Graph API), Data Lake in S3, Glue jobs, and external tables in Athena.
• Configure the infrastructure security (IAM) and, as necessary, its network layer, ensuring that the architecture meets the standards required in regulated environments such as finance.
• Design the dimensional model (star schema) intended to scale to new entities without redesign, and the data-level security model (RLS), including its mapping to the client's corporate identity.
• Establish architectural standards, business metrics, and analytical queries that the development team executes.
• Act as the technical authority in front of the client: validate the quality of the team's deliverables and be the point of contact for architectural and infrastructure decisions.
• Maintain architectural documentation as a basis for governance and knowledge transfer.
• Education: Systems Engineering, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience: 4+ years in analytical data architecture, with direct responsibility for design decisions (not just execution).
• Proven track record building production data infrastructure on AWS, including its network and security layers — depth of technical expertise will be evaluated, not just theoretical knowledge.
• Experience designing multi-entity data models with granular access control.
• Experience integrating cloud architectures with existing enterprise ecosystems (identity, corporate data sources).
• Experience technically leading projects and being a direct point of contact for clients or senior stakeholders, ideally in sectors with high security standards (finance, healthcare, government).
• Technical Knowledge of AWS: Lambda, S3, Glue, Athena, IAM, API Gateway.
• Cloud networking and security: VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups/NACLs — best practices for regulated environments.
• Identity integration via Microsoft Graph API / Service Principal (Microsoft Entra ID).
• Dimensional modeling: star schema, fact tables, and dimensions.
• Row-Level Security (RLS) — design of data-level security models.
• Hybrid multi-cloud architectures (AWS + Azure/Microsoft 365).
• Data governance and architectural documentation.
• A culture of continuous improvement, fresh and collaborative, with learning opportunities and supportive colleagues.
• Programs like Happy Kaizen and WeSofka that prioritize your physical and emotional well-being.
• KaizenHub, a program designed to enhance your talents, featuring feedback, mentorship, and coaching through Sofka U.
