
Area Sales Manager – NorCal, On-Prem, Fine Wine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Promote and market all brands of Delicato Family Wines to achieve or surpass company sales goals.
• Recognize and pursue new business prospects.
• Establish and nurture relationships with distributor/wholesaler partners and clients.
• Manage inventory and ensure program execution.
• Collaborate with distributor/wholesaler sales reps and managers to enhance Delicato’s business.
• Organize and lead meetings with distributors/wholesalers.
• Coordinate reporting on sales objectives and deliver impactful sales presentations.
• Develop and maintain lists of key accounts and targets.
• Foster relationships with major accounts.
• Implement assigned programs and introduce approved creative initiatives based on market demands.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
• Adhere to pricing policies to leverage market opportunities and ensure profitability.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in business operations.
• Conduct wine tastings, fundraisers, trade shows, and other wine-related events.
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in the wine industry, a related field, or consumer packaged goods.
• Preferred experience in managing distributor/wholesaler relationships.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Auto insurance and vehicle necessary.
• Acceptable driving record essential.
• Basic ability to clearly communicate ideas in both verbal and written formats.
• Ability to actively listen and present company sales strategies to stakeholders.
• Willingness to engage in continuous learning and self-improvement.
• Foundational skills to identify business challenges, articulate their impact, and propose potential solutions.
