This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Promote Medtronic Surgical Technologies products to hospitals, physicians, and authorized customers within the designated territory.
• Conduct in-person sales meetings with physicians, nurses, and procurement influencers.
• Demonstrate products, provide in-service training, and sell both capital and disposable items.
• Implement Sales Action Plans to meet set quotas and sales targets.
• Strategically plan and carry out sales visits to hospital departments, outpatient surgery centers, and physician offices.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions both within and outside the territory.
• Assist and support clinical staff in surgical settings.
• Manage company-owned assets, demo equipment, and inventory.
• Transport inventory and demonstration tools to client locations.
• Report competitive activities to the Region Manager while maintaining necessary records and documentation.
• Adhere to the Medtronic Surgical Technologies Quality System.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, Medtech, healthcare, or life sciences; or
• Associate’s Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in medical devices, Medtech, healthcare, or life sciences; or
• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in medical devices, Medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are preferred.
• Must possess independent mobility.
• Capability to interact with a computer for extended durations and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, and use hands for various tasks.
• Capacity to frequently lift or move up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to adjust focus as required.
• Competence to carry products and manage demonstration equipment; physical handling constitutes about 30% of the role.
• Willingness to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time via driving within the territory, with air travel as necessary.
• A valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy are essential.
• Driving record will be reviewed as part of the hiring process.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at the time of hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available for positions below the Principal level.
• For degrees obtained outside the United States, the qualification must meet 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
