This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.
• Develop, lead, and implement the commercial strategy for PPE products, ensuring sustainable business growth through a blend of technical expertise and commercial management.
• Enhance brand visibility by obtaining product approvals for end users, mainly in the gas and oil, mining, and energy industries.
• Position the brand effectively through technical homologation processes with key clients.
• Identify potential opportunities within companies operating in the oil and gas, mining, and energy sectors.
• Oversee the entire product homologation process, including technical presentations, testing, validation, and follow-up.
• Ensure adherence to regulations and standards mandated by each industry.
• Build robust relationships with technical, purchasing, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment), and operations departments.
• Serve as the technical-commercial point of contact throughout the product evaluation process.
• Offer specialized support regarding the product portfolio (PPE, technical clothing, etc.).
• Educate end users on the advantages, correct usage, and regulatory compliance of the products.
• Recognize trends, customer needs, and unique technical requirements by industry.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to tailor solutions to customer needs.
• Provide the organization with feedback and market insights for ongoing portfolio enhancement.
• Ensure that homologated products are accurately reflected in technical specifications and purchase orders.
• Monitor projects until their successful implementation in the field.
• Over 5 years of experience in selling PPE, workwear, or safety apparel.
• Experience in sales on behalf of a manufacturer, distributor, reseller, or agent.
• Sales experience in construction, oil & gas, or mining sectors.
• Key account management experience is a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English is preferred.
• Motivation to drive continued sales growth for Portwest through field sales.
• Valid driving license and a willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.
• Access to personal transportation.
• Proficient in CRM, Excel, and ERP systems.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
