Area Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Benin.

📋 Description

• Establish and nurture strong business relationships with both new and existing clients.

• Conduct daily in-person sales meetings to foster and enhance relationships with distributors and end users across your territory.

• Identify emerging business opportunities and formulate comprehensive sales strategies.

• Employ solutions-oriented approaches to consistently acquire new business.

• Recognize current customers with significant growth potential and develop a strategic plan for their advancement.

• Engage in consultative selling by assessing customer needs and presenting a Portwest solution that addresses those requirements.

• Create clear and impactful written proposals and quotations for both current and potential clients.

• Prioritize the promotion of new Portwest products by bringing samples to every meeting.

• Ensure effective follow-up after meetings to secure sales.

• Continuously develop market intelligence, including participation in marketing events like trade shows, seminars, and exhibitions.

• Propel substantial growth within target industry segments and designated channels.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in PPE, workwear, or safety wear sales is advantageous.

• Background in selling on behalf of a manufacturer, distributor, reseller, or agency.

• Proven experience in crafting and implementing sales plans aimed at aggressive expansion.

• Eagerness to contribute to the rapid growth of Portwest through field sales initiatives.

• Ability to convert business strategies into tangible results.

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• A positive outlook coupled with a winning attitude.
