Area Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Establish strong business relationships with both new and existing accounts.

• Conduct daily in-person sales meetings to nurture and enhance relationships with distributors, resellers, and agents.

• Recognize existing customers with significant growth potential and devise a strategy for their continued development.

• Discover new business opportunities and finalize a sales planning schedule.

• Implement strategies to consistently acquire new business.

• Engage in consultative selling by assessing customer needs and delivering a Portwest solution tailored to those needs.

• Create clear and compelling written proposals and quotations for both current and prospective clients.

• Concentrate on promoting new Portwest products by bringing samples to every meeting.

• Ensure timely follow-up after meetings to secure sales.

• Continuously develop market intelligence, including insights from marketing events like trade shows, seminars, exhibitions, and journals, which will be relayed back to the business.

• Promote distributor incentives regarding our products to end users.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in selling P.P.E, workwear, or safety apparel.

• Proven experience selling on behalf of a manufacturer, distributor, reseller, or agent.

• Sales background in a related sector; such as Automotive, Tools, Chemicals, MROs, etc.

• A strong drive to boost sales growth for Portwest through field sales efforts.

• Valid driving license and a willingness to travel within your designated territory.

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• A positive mindset with a competitive spirit.

• Outstanding team collaboration abilities.
