Area Data Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Establish and oversee a remote team of data specialists.

• Collaborate with the Operations Improvement Manager and Operations Analyst on data outputs.

• Validate daily data through critical reporting mechanisms.

• Facilitate cross-functional communication with Operational Leaders to ensure effective Area-level data management and oversight.

• Serve as a key boundary partner for all operational initiatives.

• Utilize Waste Management systems to document metrics and confirm process improvement opportunities.

• Oversee the performance and ongoing skill development of the Data Specialist Team.

• Direct operational data quality, accuracy, standardization, system capabilities, and reporting excellence throughout WM.

• Collaborate with operational leaders, the Operations Improvement team, Area Analysts, and the wider organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree (accredited) or a High School Diploma/GED (accredited) with two years of relevant work experience in place of a degree.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in addition to the education requirement.

• Approximately 10% travel may be required.

• Experience in navigating complex data environments.

• Proficiency with EMAP, MAS, OPUS, Kronos, Power BI, SharePoint, PMT, CorpDb, Essbase, Newton, Microsoft Suite, Capacity Planner, and other necessary systems.

• Capability to validate daily operational data through critical reports.

• Aptitude for managing and developing a remote team of data specialists.

• REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative, or willingness to obtain one, may be necessary for air travel or access to federal properties.
