Application Support Developer – Mainframe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing critical business applications within the mainframe environment.

• Assists in the operation of current systems, analyzing and resolving technical incidents as they arise.

• Collaborates effectively with both business units and technical teams to implement business requirements efficiently.

• Conducts root-cause analysis, testing, and incident management to maintain a high standard of software quality.

• Offers support for batch job control, job scheduling, and database applications in the mainframe environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in developing and maintaining applications using COBOL.

• Familiarity with PL/1, Assembler, and SQL is considered an advantage.

• Proven experience working collaboratively with business units, development teams, and stakeholders.

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical and Information Engineering, or a related field.

• Proficient German language skills (minimum C1 level) and good proficiency in English.
