Application Support Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver Tier 1 application support for the FOCUS billing system.

• Serve as the key subject matter expert (SME) for FOCUS billing workflows, configurations, and business guidelines.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to: Charge capture and posting, Claims generation, submission, and reprocessing, Remittances, adjustments, denials, and write-offs, Patient demographics, insurance setup, and eligibility.

• Assist with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer billing requirements specifically for dialysis services.

• Examine data integrity issues and billing discrepancies; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective measures.

• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle teams to address billing errors and minimize claim denials.

• Oversee user access, roles, and permissions within the FOCUS system.

• Work together with internal support teams to rectify upstream data issues affecting billing (interfaces, documentation gaps).

• Engage in system testing, validation, and change management activities.

• Develop and maintain SOPs, billing workflows, and end-user documentation.

• Offer training and continuous support to billing and clinic operations personnel.

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and healthcare regulatory standards.

• Participate in after-hours or on-call support rotations as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of practical application support experience in a healthcare billing setting.

• Comprehensive understanding of dialysis revenue cycle processes.

• Familiarity with CMS billing regulations, ESRD guidelines, and payer requirements.

• Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with ticketing systems (TeamSupport is an advantage) and incident/change management workflows.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
