Application Security Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold comprehensive application security protocols.

• Specify and execute application security standards for development processes.

• Collaborate with development teams to create an effective application security framework.

• Recognize and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Assess and pinpoint security weaknesses in both web and mobile applications.

• Perform vulnerability evaluations, penetration testing, and ethical hacking tasks.

• Engage in internal security penetration testing, security audits, and regression analyses.

• Assist in external security audits and the attainment of certifications.

• Ensure that security considerations are incorporated at every phase of the software development lifecycle.

• Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders to foster a robust application security culture.

• Remain informed about the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices.

• Offer advice and assistance to development teams concerning secure coding techniques and security-related matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a technical background in computer science, information technology, information security, or a related field.

• Solid understanding of security principles, including knowledge of the OWASP Top 10, secure coding best practices, and industry standards such as PCI DSS and ISO 27001.

• Proficient in system and network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS).

• Experience with penetration testing and security auditing tools.

• Background in software architecture and/or development.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Proficient in English at an upper-intermediate level or higher.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
