This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Assist our clients throughout their journey with VarSome, engaging in pre-sales discussions, facilitating platform onboarding, and providing post-sales support and account management to uncover new growth opportunities.
• Provide expert demonstrations that align clinical requirements with VarSome Premium and Clinical; take ownership of the customer evaluation process, address “pain points” related to variant analysis, and offer guidance on lab equipment/system integrations.
• Conduct onboarding sessions for geneticists and bioinformaticians to ensure a swift “time to value”; serve as a trusted advisor on variant interpretation and clinical workflows.
• Optimize filtering strategies and automation to enhance platform “stickiness,” while acting as a high-level liaison between customer support and stakeholders to guarantee smooth routine operations.
• Collect feedback from power users systematically to shape the product roadmap and foster strategic relationships for conference presentations and the creation of technical white papers.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Product, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment of product-market fit and facilitate growth.
• A Master’s or PhD in Human Genetics, Laboratory Medicine, Molecular Biology/Pathology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Practical experience in clinical genomics workflows, including NGS library preparation, sequencing, and secondary and/or tertiary analysis in a clinical environment.
• A strong understanding of variant classification frameworks and an in-depth knowledge of NGS workflows.
• The capability to simplify intricate clinical genomics and bioinformatics concepts for clinicians, laboratory technicians, researchers, and IT professionals.
• Native Spanish speaker. Proficiency in English is required, and fluency in Portuguese will be considered advantageous.
• Prior experience in a hospital or private laboratory setting interpreting NGS patient cases.
• Familiarity with operating in regulated environments, such as IVDR, CLIA/CAP, or similar standards.
• Demonstrated experience in multicultural environments and/or providing support to international clients in a scale-up context.
