This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Appian, including workflows, interfaces, process models, and business rules that support case management functions.
• Implement Appian objects in accordance with enterprise architecture standards.
• Facilitate full lifecycle delivery encompassing development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Create and sustain integrations between Appian and external systems, utilizing REST and SOAP APIs, Kafka/DataHub event-driven pipelines, and relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Assist with data transformation, validation, and pipeline activities across cloud environments.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• Work collaboratively with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Technical Leads to convert requirements into user stories and technical solutions.
• Ensure traceability throughout requirements, design, development, and testing using tools like JIRA and GitLab.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
• Assist with unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and defect resolution.
• Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility, security standards (NIST 800-53), and the organization's DevSecOps practices.
• Provide support for applications deployed in AWS and/or Azure environments, including containerized deployments when applicable.
• Aid in performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization of applications utilizing cloud-native tools and dashboards.
• Contribute to enhancements in scalability and availability, especially during periods of high-volume processing.
• Analyze and resolve production issues, defects, and enhancement requests within a mission-critical O&M environment.
• Participate in on-call or surge support during peak operational periods.
• Continuously identify opportunities for optimizing performance, automation, and cost efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–8+ years of software development experience, including:
• 2+ years of Appian development experience.
• Practical experience with:
• Appian (process models, SAIL, integrations).
• SQL and relational databases.
• RESTful APIs and system integration.
• Experience in supporting Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to operate in high-performance, mission-critical environments.
• Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years to obtain the necessary clearance.
