This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and lead the editorial and content strategy for important AP web properties.
• Determine the optimal placement and format for new content across intricate websites.
• Steer decisions regarding information architecture, content models, taxonomy, and metadata.
• Design page-level experiences aimed at enhancing usability and user engagement.
• Detect content gaps, redundancies, and potential areas for consolidation.
• Convert complex stakeholder feedback into clear, organized web content.
• Oversee content planning from initial concept through to launch and continuous optimization.
• Define content specifications, perform content audits, create and refine content, establish content placement, conduct quality control, and ensure ongoing optimization.
• Generate and modify web content in alignment with brand and editorial guidelines.
• Publish and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of content within the CMS.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify objectives, eliminate ambiguity, and agree on content direction.
• Contribute to the governance, standards, and workflows related to content.
• Manage competing priorities and deadlines across various projects.
• 7–10 years of experience in content strategy, editorial, or digital content positions.
• Proven experience in managing large, complex web environments.
• Demonstrated experience in leading content strategy for expansive websites, platforms, or ecosystems.
• Extensive knowledge of information architecture, taxonomy, and content organization at scale.
• Capability to navigate ambiguous situations and provide clarity, structure, and direction for content initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and influencing decisions without direct authority.
• Skill in juggling multiple projects and competing priorities while upholding high quality and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms and digital publishing processes.
• Background in structured editorial standards, workflows, and governance frameworks.
• Outstanding writing and editing abilities.
• Strong communication skills.
