Android Developer (Mid/Senior)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the Android interfaces of the native chat application, emphasizing scalability, performance, and user experience.

• Establish and advocate for mobile architecture and engineering best practices.

• Create and enhance reusable components (SDKs).

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams throughout the discovery and delivery phases.

• Ensure that quality, accessibility, observability, and security are integral to all deliverables.

• Assist in advancing conversational capabilities (e.g., transactional chat, human fallback).

• Write code that promotes modularization, reusability, and low coupling.

• Follow the design system and adhere to UI standards.

• Monitor performance metrics (render time, resource consumption, ANR).

• Guarantee testability and sufficient coverage.

• Focus on accessibility considerations (TalkBack, navigation, contrast).

• Implement observability as a fundamental requirement (structured, monitorable logs).

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience as a Senior Android Engineer (Kotlin).

• Expertise in Jetpack Compose (declarative UI, state management, performance).

• Familiarity with contemporary Android architectures (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture, modularization).

• Experience with real-time integrations (WebSocket / event streaming).

• Proficient in consuming REST APIs and utilizing networking libraries.

• Understanding of design systems and componentization.

• Background in testing (unit and instrumented tests) and fostering a quality-driven culture using tools like Firebase (crash monitoring).

• Knowledge of engineering practices: Git, CI/CD, code review, versioning.

• Preferred:

• Experience with chat/conversational platform architectures.

• Familiarity with mobile SDKs and library development.

• Knowledge of event-driven systems / messaging.

• Experience in mobile observability (logs, metrics, tracing).

• Background in SuperApp / high-scale environments.

• Understanding of conversational UX / chat-first experiences.
