Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain native Android applications utilizing Kotlin.

• Construct and maintain applications that operate on managed Android devices and in kiosk-mode settings.

• Implement and tailor WebView-based solutions, including necessary JavaScript and CSS injections.

• Develop secure mobile applications adhering to industry-standard coding and security protocols.

• Integrate and support hardware peripherals such as barcode scanners, receipt printers, and other device-specific components.

• Implement features for session management, including monitoring inactivity and automatic logout options.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance application performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with Product, QA, UX/UI, and Engineering teams to produce high-quality solutions.

• Engage in code reviews and participate in initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Ensure adherence to security, performance, accessibility, and usability standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 4 years of experience in developing native Android applications using Kotlin.

• Strong comprehension of the Android SDK, application lifecycle, and architectural components.

• Experience in developing applications for managed Android devices and in kiosk-mode environments.

• Practical experience with Android WebView, including JavaScript and CSS injections.

• Awareness of secure mobile application development techniques and mobile security best practices.

• Experience in integrating and supporting peripheral devices such as barcode scanners, printers, and related hardware.

• Experience in implementing user session management, inactivity monitoring, and automatic logout features.

• Strong skills in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing performance.

• Familiarity with Git and contemporary software development practices.

• Proficient in English (B2 level or higher).
