This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Take ownership of onboarding processes, enhance KYB/KYC documentation, minimize cycle times, and collaborate with Compliance, Product, and Tech teams for scalability.
• Document, systematize, and gradually automate operational processes.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Tech teams to design efficient workflows.
• Perform checklist-based evaluations of client-submitted documentation during onboarding, ensuring completeness and alignment with internal standards.
• Identify any missing, incomplete, or inconsistent documentation and issue Requests for Information (RFIs) to clients to obtain the outstanding items.
• Maintain precise and audit-ready records of received documentation, issued RFIs, and case status throughout the onboarding process.
• Lead and manage comprehensive onboarding operational flows, pinpointing bottlenecks and implementing enhancements to reduce onboarding cycle times.
• Monitor case progress throughout the pipeline and proactively follow up to ensure cases continue to move forward without unnecessary delays.
• Own onboarding speed KPIs and collaborate with the Compliance team to accelerate decision turnaround without sacrificing quality.
• Document and systematize all onboarding operational procedures into clear, repeatable SOPs designed for automation readiness.
• Identify segments of the onboarding workflow suitable for agentic automation and collaborate with Product and Tech teams to implement these progressively through automation and AI tools.
• Facilitate the shift from manual execution to AI-assisted workflows over time.
• Prepare and submit Partner Information Forms (PIFs) along with necessary documentation for partner onboarding and certification with card schemes.
• Coordinate third-party reviews mandated by card schemes and other network partners, overseeing timelines, documentation packages, and follow-ups to ensure complete and timely submissions.
• At least 3 years of experience in business operations, KYC document processing, customer onboarding, or a related operational role.
• Practical experience with structured checklists, data collection workflows, or documentation review processes.
• Proven experience in building with AI, whether through automation tools, agentic workflows, prompt-based solutions, or AI-assisted process design; we seek someone who has actively built AI solutions, not just utilized them.
• A background in fintech, financial services, or regulated industries is advantageous, but not mandatory.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a process-driven approach.
• Comfortable managing case queues, tracking document status, and adhering to defined escalation protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to identify operational bottlenecks and drive measurable improvements in turnaround times.
• Capable of spotting gaps or inconsistencies in documentation without needing to make risk-based compliance judgments.
• Views manual processes as challenges to be solved rather than repetitive tasks.
• Able to conceptualize workflows: identifying inputs, outputs, decision points, and exception paths that can be transformed into automated logic.
• Comfortable collaborating with Product and Tech teams to define and test automation tools.
• Actively seeks opportunities to minimize human-in-the-loop steps through tooling and process redesign.
• Strong communicator, capable of drafting professional RFIs and coordinating effectively with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
• Comfortable creating productive tension with adjacent teams (Compliance, Growth) to achieve better outcomes and faster processes.
• Based in or able to operate fully aligned with the Mexico time zone and public holidays.
• Willing to work during local public holidays if necessary (compensatory leave will be provided).
• Fluent in business English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Proficiency in any additional language (e.g., Portuguese) is a significant advantage.
