This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review and assess submissions for compliance, ensuring they align with various company guidelines.
• Negotiate coverage terms and requirements with attention to detail.
• Ensure the timely issuance of quotes and effectively bind policies with accuracy.
• Collect and maintain comprehensive, organized, and thorough underwriting files.
• Evaluate risks within the designated authority.
• Guarantee adherence to carrier guidelines, state regulations, and surplus lines standards.
• Build strong relationships with agents, internal teams, carriers, and external partners to discover profitable growth opportunities.
• Meet individual and team production targets by developing a lucrative book of business.
• Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with all stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Conduct research on agency, carrier, and market data to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Respond to inquiries within established service level standards and demonstrate underwriting expertise.
• Provide guidance to agencies on carriers and products within your specialty, and connect agents with the appropriate resources for opportunities outside your area of expertise.
• Active P&C and Surplus Lines licenses (or the ability to obtain them within 45 days).
• Capability to identify, evaluate, analyze, and recommend solutions for insurance needs.
• Knowledge of state-specific statutes related to underwriting, as well as applicable insurance laws and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage, influence, and negotiate with internal and external business partners.

• Experience in Commercial Lines insurance preferred.
• Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, or equivalent preferred.
