
Alt Ed Coordinator – Counseling Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Work collaboratively with the School Leader and the Manager of Counseling Services to assist at-risk students in grades 9-12.
• Support students and their parents in comprehending and fulfilling graduation requirements, course selection, scheduling, and crisis intervention.
• Offer guidance to staff and assist teachers within an alternative learning environment.
• Establish and maintain strong accountability systems for student indicators such as assignment submissions, platform engagement, and progress towards pacing targets.
• Conduct attendance and participation tracking in accordance with state-specific regulations.
• Create micro-communities within the school to promote a sense of belonging and connection.
• Regularly perform individualized student check-ins to evaluate academic, behavioral, and social progress.
• Maintain a structured and supportive atmosphere that promotes student success, retention, and readiness for life after graduation.
• Minimum of 3 years of counseling experience at an accredited public or private school; prior leadership roles are preferred.
• South Carolina School Counseling Credential is mandatory.
• Master's degree in Counseling, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
• Proficient in technology, particularly with Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
• Experience with PowerSchool and/or Edmentum is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to utilize a personal electronic device for two-step authentication and communication.
