This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Provide weekly counseling to members via text-based chat, video calls, and phone calls to track their recovery progress.
• Conduct an initial phone call to onboard users and complete a comprehensive assessment to collect relevant behavioral health history and symptoms.
• Utilize Atlas, Pelago's AI-driven EHR, which automates session documentation, offers real-time evidence-based guidance during calls, and prepares clinical context ahead of each session—allowing you to focus on member care rather than administrative tasks.
• Track member progress and provide therapeutic strategies for managing cravings and temptations.
• Offer support and encouragement to members to help them cultivate and maintain motivation for changing their substance use behaviors.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure an optimal experience for all members and provide constructive feedback to the product development team.
• Maintain good standing with your active license(s)/certification(s).
• Participate in team meetings and/or case discussions as scheduled.
• Assist individuals in transforming their lives and the lives of their families through addiction recovery!
• Active, unrestricted license in good standing recognized in Michigan or North Carolina:
• Michigan: CADC or CAADC
• North Carolina: LCAS, CSAC, or CADC
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing CBT and/or behavioral support for substance use disorders (tobacco, alcohol, opioids).
• Comfortable working in an AI-enhanced care environment; willing to adopt AI-assisted tools for documentation, member communication, and clinical decision-making.
• Proficient in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), MAT coordination, and Relapse Prevention strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (coaches, physicians, nurses).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments; capable of prioritizing competing demands.
• Technologically adept; quick to learn new tools and platforms.
• Preferred: Experience with telehealth across multiple time zones and/or in digital health settings.
