This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch scalable software products that integrate machine learning and AI models.
• Create reusable Python packages to facilitate the implementation of ML/AI algorithms and data-processing workflows.
• Take part in the design of AI systems, focusing on components for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), LLM integration, and agent-based workflows.
• Develop frameworks for agentic evaluation and monitoring to assess model reasoning, consistency, and fairness.
• Analyze database designs and craft optimized queries to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval.
• Decompose complex MLE and AI tasks into manageable user and technical stories, guaranteeing efficient and effective execution.
• Maintain high-quality test coverage of ML code and engage in peer reviews to offer constructive feedback.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in machine learning engineering, generative AI, and AI system orchestration, integrating relevant practices into our workflows.
• Contribute to continuous delivery and Agile development methodologies, following best practices in ML and AI engineering.
• Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related discipline (PhD preferred).
• At least 7 years of professional experience in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning software products, both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong programming expertise in Python, with a history of developing reusable packages and automation tools.
• Experience with Databricks for scalable data processing and collaborative analytics.
• Comprehensive understanding of machine learning systems design concepts, including model lifecycle management, MLOps, and scalable inference.
• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP), containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in distributed computing frameworks, machine learning libraries, and both relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and frameworks (e.g., AutoGen, Hugging Face, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex) and their integration into enterprise workflows.
• Experience in developing or assessing agentic AI systems, AI orchestration, or AI-assisted decision-making workflows is advantageous.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a talent for breaking down complex tasks into actionable steps.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, demonstrated through effective work in cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge or experience in the utility, power, or energy sectors is beneficial.
• In-depth knowledge of the Databricks tech stack for AI and data engineering is a plus.
