AI Tutor, Kannada

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Train and enhance Grok for voice interactions, speech recognition, and auditory experiences across various languages, accents, and cultural contexts.

• Curate and annotate high-quality multilingual audio datasets.

• Utilize proprietary software to provide labels, annotations, recordings, and inputs.

• Translate and localize user interface copy, prompts, responses, and other written materials from English to Kannada.

• Ensure high-quality delivery of audio data, focusing on accurate linguistic and prosodic details, including intonation, rhythm, and accent.

• Collaborate with technical teams on tasks involving speech modulation, accent variation, noisy recordings, and multilingual audio processing.

• Enhance annotation tools and audio workflows in partnership with technical staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native proficiency in Kannada, with familiarity with various accents, dialects, or regional variations.

• English proficiency at a minimum B2 level.

• Possess a clear and natural vocal delivery and pronunciation suitable for audio recording.

• Strong auditory perception for identifying nuances in speech, accents, pronunciation, intonation, and overall audio quality.

• Capability to manage multilingual audio content and assess speech accuracy, cultural vocal expressions, and contextual interpretation.

• Proficient in accurately transcribing audio across different accents and varying audio quality levels.

• Skilled in translating and localizing text accurately between English and Kannada.

• Comfortable delivering high-quality voice recordings and providing feedback on audio samples in multiple languages.

• Strong comprehension and independent judgment when evaluating ambiguous, noisy, or accented speech.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, detail-oriented, and organizational skills.

• Commitment to developing advanced multilingual audio capabilities.

• Personal computer must be a Chromebook, Mac with macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later if working from a personal device.

• Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Wyoming and Illinois are excluded from U.S.-based hiring.

• Preferred qualifications include a background in linguistics, speech sciences, cognitive science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Preferred experience with speech/audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, voice models, translation/localization workflows, or professional voice work.
