This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Create, develop, and launch web applications and APIs that fulfill product specifications.
• Collaborate closely with domain specialists, AI/ML scientists, and fellow engineers to convert requirements into robust and scalable solutions.
• Lead architectural decisions for new products and services to guarantee scalability.
• Produce high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior team members.
• Integrate applications with various external APIs and data services.
• Debug, test, and optimize applications for performance.
• Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies in software engineering and AI application development.
• Work in collaboration with cybersecurity teams to safeguard sensitive information.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience with Epic data stores and modules, including Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle.
• Familiarity with contemporary data and AI/ML platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
• Knowledge of AI agent development frameworks and tools such as LangGraph, Swarm, and MCP.
• Strong grasp of AI and machine learning principles and techniques.
• Over 5 years of experience in software and application development.
• Expertise in modern frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
• Strong command of backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Proven experience in designing and utilizing APIs and RESTful web services.
• Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including standards such as FHIR, HL7, and SMART on FHIR.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms like Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies including Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, job orchestration, monitoring, and cloud-native deployment workflows.
• Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing secure coding standards.
