AI Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage the agentic CI/CD stack, encompassing autonomous build loops, build gates, integration validation, progressive rollout, and rollback.

• Enhance the reconciliation layer to establish system truth for impacted services, ticket-to-commit linkage, deploy-vs-release status, and flag state.

• Create the mission control layer that displays what has been built, validated, deployed, released, and flagged.

• Design a human-in-the-loop framework for agent autonomy, escalation, and evidence collection.

• Instrument agent activities with traces, evaluations, failure analysis, and drift analysis.

• Formalize release policy as code.

• Monitor AI usage and costs throughout the pipeline, facilitating workload routing and addressing unit-economics issues.

• Substitute cross-team coordination with contracts, dependency detection, and validation mechanisms.

• Collaborate with DevOps and engineers to ensure pipeline reliability, environmental stability, and adequate test coverage.

• Advance the operating process from commit through validation to release while adhering to FedRAMP-conscious compliance boundaries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building engineering systems within SaaS or platform environments.

• Proficiency in CI/CD, internal platforms, developer tooling, or infrastructure.

• Capability to write production code and manage the operation of systems.

• Hands-on expertise in pipeline design, integration failure analysis, dependency management, feature flags, and progressive delivery.

• Experience in operating LLM or agent systems in production, or demonstrable ability to achieve this swiftly.

• Background in compliance-driven environments, such as government, healthcare, or finance, is advantageous.

• Strong systems thinking and operational discipline.

• Excellent writing skills.
