This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• You will design a UI/UX that captivates end users by integrating chat-based interactions with rich, embedded product experiences.
• The standard is a highly intuitive experience that maintains user focus on their objectives, eliminating the need to pause and learn how PropertyRadar functions.
• You’ll develop the composable React widget framework along with reusable, data-rich interfaces that introduce PropertyRadar’s property and owner data into new contexts.
• This role involves greenfield frontend work with direct access to the VP of Engineering, CEO, and Founder, allowing you to collaborate closely with all three on project scope and tradeoffs.
• You will experience the freedom of a startup while benefiting from the distribution and cash flow of an 18-year-old profitable business.
• You will take ownership of end-to-end delivery, not just a fraction of a project.
• You’ll craft a user experience that transforms complex, high-value data into something intuitive and actionable.
• Bring a strong sense of product taste and craftsmanship. You recognize the difference between “it works” and “this feels great to use,” and you can execute at a pixel-perfect level.
• Deliver at agentic-native speed. We are seeking engineers who can produce results significantly faster than traditional React teams, as Cursor (and other agentic tools) are their primary means of work.
• Take ownership of the specifications. Ask incisive clarifying questions, make informed tradeoffs, and deliver results. We don’t assign you tickets.
• Elevate the team’s performance. Share patterns, prompts, and orchestration techniques that enhance productivity for everyone.
• User Experience: You understand how to make dense, data-heavy interfaces feel transparent through hierarchy, defaults, progressive disclosure, and state design.
• You focus on the details: considerations such as empty states, loading states, error states, interaction polish, and accessibility are integral to the product, not afterthoughts.
• You possess extensive experience with component libraries and/or design-system engineering, with a keen eye for consistency, usability, and refinement.
• You have supported customer bases ranging from thousands to millions.
• Agentic-native development: Cursor (or Claude Code) serves as your primary IDE, rather than a tool you occasionally utilize.
• You can recount specific recent projects in which agentic coding significantly improved your output speed and quality, providing examples.
• You have insights on agent orchestration: how to define work for agents, when to segment it, how to review agent output, and when to intervene manually.
• Bonus: you have built or contributed to agent workflows, custom Cursor rules, or developer tools for AI-assisted engineering.
• Expert in React + TypeScript: You have advanced working knowledge of React 18, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Radix primitives.
• Production experience with Vite as a build tool for libraries, applications, or both.
• You are comfortable architecting complex React frontends and choose the appropriate pattern rather than defaulting to the familiar one.
• You have developed data-heavy UIs at scale—complex tables, filters, maps, sorting, pagination—and you understand how to optimize performance.
• You have integrated REST and GraphQL APIs with careful handling of loading, errors, and edge cases.
• Proficient in embedding and iframe techniques: you’ve constructed or delivered against sandboxed iframe architectures and are familiar with the security model in its entirety.
• You can articulate and understand Content Security Policies without needing to refer to documentation.
• You have implemented communication protocols between iframes and hosts—ideally JSON-RPC 2.0 or a similarly structured pattern—and understand origin checks, message validation, and failure modes.
• You are knowledgeable about cross-origin behavior, third-party cookie restrictions, and practical workarounds for embedded applications.
• Ownership and judgment: You don’t wait for perfect specifications. You seek clarity and communicate succinctly in writing—crucial for a remote, asynchronous team.
• Competitive salary and equity options.
• Flexible working hours and remote work opportunities.
• Access to professional development resources and training.
• A collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
