AI Engineer - Agentic Applications, Mid/Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop specialized agents under the supervision of a coordinator, incorporating agency loops (ReAct) and a verifiable decision log.

• Construct MCP servers that link agents to operational APIs (.NET) and machine learning models via OpenAPI contracts.

• Execute the MCP Host utilizing LangChain / Semantic Kernel and large language models (LLMs) through Azure OpenAI.

• Establish Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) mechanisms for critical decision-making processes.

• Guarantee agentic security: ensuring per-agent identity (OAuth2), tool-specific scopes, idempotency, protection against prompt injection, and safeguarding against PII leakage.

• Version prompts (PromptOps) and enhance agent observability (using LangSmith or a similar tool).

• Integrate with an event-driven architecture (Azure Service Bus / Kafka).

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in English or Spanish (due to international clients).

• Strong programming expertise (Python and/or C#/.NET) — including testing, contracts, version control, and writing readable code.

• Experience in developing applications utilizing LLMs: encompassing tool/function calling, agent orchestration, prompt engineering, and managing nondeterministic behavior.

• Systems integration experience: involving the consumption and design of REST APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger), OAuth2 authentication, idempotency, and webhooks/callbacks.

• Secure data access management from LLMs — for instance, transforming natural language into queries with scope control, validation, and auditing.

• Understanding of LLM application security: addressing prompt injection, data leakage, and permission control per tool.
