Posted Jul 23
This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Observe and learn the current transformation strategy directly from the lead consultant on-site, then apply it independently at new plants.
β’ Guide plant leadership and floor teams on effective working methods and the use of new technology, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog management, tailored for a manufacturing context.
β’ Facilitate ceremonies and working sessions that foster team ownership instead of dependency on the coach.
β’ Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks, handoff issues, and waste in both floor operations and cross-functional workflows.
β’ Provide individual coaching to team leads and site managers on mindset changes, focusing on more than just process mechanics.
β’ Promote the adoption of new operational methods across plant teams, including those resistant to change.
β’ Monitor and report transformation health metrics (such as velocity, adoption indicators, and team maturity) back to the lead consultant.
β’ Offer "white glove" follow-up support after implementation to ensure sustainable change instead of reverting once the coach moves on to the next site.
β’ Assist in building local capabilities so that plants can maintain the new working methods over the long term.
β’ Travel frequently between plant locations, with expectations for domestic and Americas-region travel, and potential for broader international travel (EMEA/APAC).
β’ Implement established practices rather than creating a new methodology; this role involves executing an existing playbook, not designing a transformation from scratch.
β’ Communicate progress and challenges to the lead consultant and adapt delivery based on provided guidance.
β’ Proven background in agile methodologies, supported by relevant certifications and experience, ideally gained through roles in product or software development rather than solely in agile-transformation consulting.
β’ Direct experience with the transition from traditional to agile delivery; not someone who has only coached agile from an external perspective.
β’ Practical facilitation experience: leading ceremonies, coaching teams through resistance, and adapting agile principles to a non-software environment.
β’ Comfortable following direction and executing assigned tasks rather than pursuing your own strategic agenda; this role is more of a "lieutenant" than a chief. Your focus will be on implementing a proven playbook, not redesigning it.
β’ Manufacturing experience is advantageous, though not mandatory.
β’ Personable, approachable, and low-egoβsomeone who teams enjoy working with and who harmonizes with existing leadership.
β’ Willing to travel extensively and frequently, including potential international travel.
β’ A valid US passport is required.
β’ Travel and expenses will be reimbursed when visiting client sites.
